The Loughlin/Michaels Group (LMGPR), a technology consumer and business to business-focused public relations agency, announced the addition of public relations executive Jay Mejia as Director of the agency's business-to-business practice.

In this role, Mejia will handle executive oversight, manage day- to-day opportunities for the business-to-business enterprise clients, as well as cultivate business development in expanding the agency's current portfolio and market expansion.
Mejia has nearly two decades of experience in public relations and marketing in high technology, business-to-business and consumer markets, as well as leadership skills. Mejia understands integrated marketing communications and the role public relations plays in helping to define messaging and positioning as well as launching companies to market success and leadership status.

Mejia joins the LMGPR team with domain expertise in Internet and data center infrastructure, mobility and mobile applications, content delivery, unified communications, enterprise software and IT security. Notable companies that Mejia worked with include Itiva Networks and Akamai Technologies/Speedera Networks. Mejia's previous PR agency experience was carried out at prominent agencies including Nadel Phelan, Access Communications, and Saatchi and Saatchi.

Prior to his PR career, Mejia was a journalist for ten years for the Des Moines Register, the Washington D.C. bureau for a group of Midwestern newspapers and a post at The New York Times.
