QLD:Inquiry to examine triple zero calls

It'll be a harrowing day for some at Queensland's flood inquiry today .. which will
hear the triple-zero calls made by Toowoomba mother DONNA RICE before she and her son
were swept to their deaths in January.

Ms RICE'S 10-year-old son BLAKE was saved by a passer-by when a wall of water pummelled
the family car in the flash flood that hit Toowoomba's CBD on January 10 .. but 13-year-old
JORDAN and Ms RICE died.

The Queensland Floods Commission of Inquiry will examine the emergency telephone operator's
behaviour .. and whether it's appropriate for emergency calls to be transferred out of
the area when there's an influx of calls.
