NSW: Murder accused refused bail in Newcastle court
A teenager charged with the shooting murder of a mother-of-two in the Hunter Valley
.. has been refused bail in a NSW court.
24 year old SHANDELE MACEY was shot as she stood at the front window of her home in
Rutherford .. near Maitland .. on March 20.
19 year old JEREMY MICHAEL HUNT was arrested near Coonamble in north western NSW last
Wednesday .. after a state-wide appeal by police for help in tracking him down.
He wasn't in court and his solicitor didn't ask for bail.
The magistrate formally refused it and remanded him in custody until May 24 .. when
he'll reappear on video link.
Meanwhile a 33-year-old woman is due to face Maitland local court today .. also charged
with Ms MACEY'S murder.
Last week two other men .. BRIAN KAISER and RONALD REX EDWARD% Garland, 34, were remanded
in custody by Newcastle Local Court on charges of concealing the shooting.
