NSW:Two dead in crash that demolishes chopper
SYDNEY, Feb 4 AAP - A helicopter crash in the NSW Hunter that killed two men and critically
injured the pilot was so destructive that rescuers could do nothing, a witness says.
Two men died when the four-seater Robinson R44 helicopter crashed at Cessnock Aerodrome
and exploded on impact.
Flames engulfed the craft after it crashed to the ground at the southern end of the
airfield about 11.45am (AEDT) on Friday.
Paramedics said the pilot, aged in his early 40s, was able to free himself from the
wreckage before it exploded.
